A new car seat is a wonderful thing. I remember how clean the infant car seat was on the way to the hospital to pick up Carley. It seems though, as soon as you put your sweet new infant into a car seat that they quickly spit up all over it and have the biggest diaper blowout imaginable.
I thought we might have better luck with the forward facing car seat but we didn't. Now it is munched up cheerio remains crusted into every crevice, sippy cup splatters, snacks Danielle decides should be thrown at Carley, and small toys from long ago that have been forgotten. Maybe I should just not let them eat in the car? Yeah right! Any thing to keep them quite for just 5 more minutes.
I asked Danielle to give me her best "We're going to crash face"
Carley needs to work on her expression a little.

Now you've put the idea of cleaning out carseats into my head, but I'm going to resist. It's no use tackling that before a long car trip. I'm afraid to see what surprises are hiding in all those crevices.
